About Us
Women Connecting Through Literacy
At the core of our group, we are women who are promoting community, literacy, and reading accessibility. While yes, we are a fun book club looking to find other like-minded women, we are also a group that recognizes the importance and impact reading can have on your lifestyle and habits. We hope to provide a safe community for women-readers in Memphis to explore new books, find new friends, and give back to our greater-Memphis community.
Our Story
We started as a buy/sell/trade Facebook group when Megan realized there was a greater demand for an actual book club. In February of 2023, she began planning with the expectation that at worst, this fizzles and nobody shows up and at best, it works for like, six months? Tops?

Little did she know that meeting 5 other random women at Libro within Novel Memphis would lead to a year of jam-packed meetings, hilarious conversations, new friends, great (and not so great) books and so much more. We can't wait to continue to grow in 2024 and we hope to see you at meeting!
